What happens next

Once you have registered for the workshop and your form has been received, the therapist, Carla Moodie, will give you a call to go over the details of your health and intake form. This will be the time to let her know about any limitations, ask any questions about what to expect, and let her know your goals for healing. At this time you will also have the opportunity to fill out a consent form that will give you valuable information.

Carla will schedule two more calls with you. One halfway through the series and the other as a follow-up after the program has ended. It is important to include a reliable contact phone number on your registration form. The purpose of these contacts is to make sure that the techniques that are presented are benefiting and make time outside of class to establish any modifications.

Getting to the workshop

In response to the current pandemic, this workshop will be held virtually via Zoom. The application of Zoom does require to be downloaded on the device your choose to use. To use Zoom is free.

Once your registration has been received, you will be emailed or texted the Zoom link for the program. If you need help with how to set your device up to optimize your view and participation in class, please let Carla know during your verbal contact.

Your privacy is important to us. We will be using a Zoom account that is HIPAA compliant. These classes will not be recorded, nor will your information be given out to third parties.

What you will need

You will need adequate space to do yoga either on the floor, with a chair, or using the wall. It is ideal to have a relatively quiet place with low traffic and interruptions.

You will need a reliable device with internet connection. The device can be a desktop computer with a camera, a laptop, a tablet, or a mobile device.

Yoga mat and props. If you do not have this, then you can use items you have around the house.

  • Pillows (in place of yoga bolsters)
  • 2 to 3 Blankets
  • A towel for multi-use (mostly for covering eyes in the place of an eye pillow)
  • A belt or tie (in place of a yoga tie. The softer the better)
  • Books to stack (in place of yoga blocks)
